Where are BMW X Models Built?

In 2017, BMW Group announced an additional investment of $600 million in manufacturing infrastructure for the Spartanburg Plant to prepare for future generations of the BMW X line. This ended up being the sixth major expansion since the Spartanburg Plant opened. Since the start of production in 1994, the Spartanburg Plant has produced over 5 million vehicles. Currently, BMW Manufacturing produces more than 1,500 vehicles each day and exports 70% of its production. BMW Group Plant Dingolfing is the BMW Group's largest vehicle production site in Europe, and just recently rolled out around 232,000 BMW vehicles including the BMW 4 Series. The Dingolfing Plant also produces:

• BMW 8 Series
• BMW electric vehicles

The BMW Group Munich Plant also produces BMW 4 Series models. However, the BMW 3 Series Touring, BMW 4 Series Coupe and M4 Coupe are exclusively manufactured in Munich.
